Just a short 15 minute drive from Jerusalem and less than an hour from Tel Aviv you’ll find a wide range of activities, events, attractions, tzimmers, breathtaking views, trails, springs and more!

April 14th -16th | Passover at Oz Ve’Gaon

Above the Gush Etzion junction, in a pine forest, three days of spiritual and educational experience with Eshkolot.

April 14th & 17th | Chol Hamoed Passover at the Kashuela Farm

Kashuela Farm is a tourist agricultural farm, located on the western slopes of Gush Etzion.  

Throughout Passover you’re invited to: 

  •  Enjoy a picnic, take in the blooming flowers and the forest, and hike along the new scenic road. 
  •  Participate in a shepherding workshop and go with the flock to the forest (at 11:00 AM, 1:30 PM). 
  • Join a tour and hear all about the farm, settlement, agriculture, Zionism, the story of the Lamed Hey convoy, and Gush Etzion (at 9:30 AM, 12:00 PM, 3:00 PM).  

Additional workshops are available throughout Chol Hamoed with advanced booking-minimum of 30 participants. Cheese workshop, basket weaving, shepherding, nature arts & crafts, building with mud, tours of the farm and more.

April 15-16 | Open Days for the Entire Family at the Tzomet Experience

Embark on a journey where visitors of all ages discover how science and technology are integrated into modern life. Explore topics like security equipment, methods for cooking on Shabbat, solar energy use, and mobility aids for the disabled.  

Open days on April 15th and 16th: Enjoy guided tours at the top of every hour, interactive exhibits, and workshops for children and teenagers.

Attractions: 

Deer Land Farm

Deer Land Farm is located in the heart of the ‘Etzion Forest,’ a magical and breathtakingly beautiful place. The farm has a huge extreme sports area and adventure facilities for the whole family. This includes the longest zipline in the country, climbing walls, a rope park, bungee trampolines, mini amusement park rides, target shooting, a huge and impressive wildlife reserve, a vintage vehicle museum, and more. The farm offers a variety of services for visitors: shaded seating areas, BBQ spots, a souvenir shop, accommodation for groups and families, and more. 

Cost:  

Passover Special: A bracelet for all the farm’s attractions (except the long zipline) for 85 NIS, suitable for ages 4 to 17. 

Regular entrance to the farm costs 25 NIS and includes a tour of the zoo. Anyone who arrives and purchases a ticket for the big zipline at the price of 100 NIS will also get entry to the zoo for 25 NIS. If you purchase the zipline ticket after already entering the farm, you will not receive a credit for the zoo entrance ticket.

Directions: From Jerusalem, on Route 60, turn right at the Gush Junction. Pass the Alon Shvut roundabout and pay attention to the signs indicating a right turn to Arutz Ha’ayalim (before the roundabout for Bat Ayin/Kfar Etzion).

Biyar Aqueduct

A fun and wet tour in an underground tunnel, 12 meters deep and 130 meters long. The tunnel is part of the water system built by Herod to transport water to Jerusalem and the Temple. 

The route includes an experiential walk in the tunnel, with flowing water reaching up to knee height. 

During Chol Hamoed, visitors can enjoy access to the tunnel, inflatables, lawns, picnic areas, children’s workshops, guided tours in the tunnel, and more. 

An exciting audio-visual show in an underground room (no need to enter the water). 

Dates: Throughout Chol Hamoed 

Hours: Mon-Thurs 10:00-18:00, Friday 9:00-13:00  Please arrive at least one hour before closing

Shlomo’s Animals

An exotic animal farm with over 100 different species of animals from around the world! An opportunity to touch some of the rarest animals in the world. Join a wine tasting tour at the Gush Etzion Winery. 

Regular Tour: Begin with a view of the vineyards, then enter the winery to learn about the production process. Afterward, sit down for a tasting of four types of wine, two reds and two whites. The tour and tastings are accompanied by an explanation and guidance. The duration of the tour and tastings is approximately forty minutes. Price: 55 NIS per person. 

Upgraded Tour: Begin with a view of the vineyards, then enter the winery to learn about the production process. Afterward, sit down for a tasting of four types of wine, two reds and two whites, along with a rich cheese platter. The tour and tastings are accompanied by an explanation and guidance. VIP Tour: Begin with a view of the vineyards, then enter the winery to learn about the production process.
